The Crooked Closet is a book of short stories. For most of the book I wondered " What in the heck did I just read?!?" Most of the stories felt like being in the mind of someone who is quickly going crazy. There were however a few high notes. Star-Crossed Lovers, a tale of alien love. Jacob, a look at the monster in the closet, and Filthy Water were ok. The best stories for me were the connected tales Lazy Acres and Delores. I could actually follow the plot on these two, so I would consider them the best of the collection. 2.5 Stars.
A fantastic read from start to finish! Deep with moral terror and haunting imagery that keeps you turning the page. The best part is that every story is unique, from aliens to black magic its all there. I cant wait to see what this author does next!
